An initial 26 Business Language Champions were awarded certificates for their commit- ment to helping education to understand the use and value of languages for work (in some regions, they are struggling to find a single one!). |

| December 2007 Camira Fabrics and St James School (West Yorkshire) became the first ever national Business Language Champions partnership. An award was made in London as part of the National Education Business Partnerships Conference and Gala Dinner. |

| December 2008 Congratulations to the following Business Language Champions from the Yorkshire & Humber region: National Railway Museum and Archbishop Holgate's School in York and Bradford Tourist Information Centre and Queensbury School in Bradford for recieving the "Highly Commended" awards at the National Business Language Champions ceremony in London on the 1st December 2008.
