Steve Parkinson, MD of Crosswater UK Limited, based at The Deep Business Centre, Hull enjoyed the opportunity to learn Spanish thanks to funding from the Skills Fund project, World Trade Skills for West Yorkshire and the Humber.
The company install refrigeration and air-conditioning units in supermarkets and commercial outlets in the UK and Steve is learning Spanish in order to be able explore the market potential of Spain for their range of products.
Steve said “I had started to learn on my own using CDs but I am finding one to one tuition with a tutor invaluable . The lessons are fun and I look forward to putting into practice what I have learnt”.
The project was managed by the Regional Language Network Yorkshire and Humber and enabled small to medium-sized companies based in objective 2 areas of West Yorkshire and the Humber to participate in a series of seminars and enjoy customised language training. Topics included Doing Business in China, Italy, France and Spain.
