Legal migrants from other countries make a substantial contribution to our society - in terms of helping the local and national economy and diversifying our culture.

In a recent study published by Improve, the sector skills council for the food and drink industry, 69 per cent of Yorkshire and Humber companies surveyed said employing migrant workers had a positive impact on their business.

 

 
Communication
 
      Can your migrant workers speak and understand sufficient English for the role they are performing?  
       
  Are they able to communicate effectively with colleagues?  
Help your employees integrate into your business quickly by providing language training or signposting to local available training whether daytime or evening.


Locate trainers of ESOL*      

Translate important company information such as health and safety procedures and company handbooks are available in the employee's native language.
