All those involved in training language teachers should book now for a place on CILT’s Initial Teacher Education conference in Loughborough on 4-5 Sepxember.
The annual two-day conference is the essential event for everyone involved in supporting trainees on both primary and secondary Initial Teacher Education programmes for MFL.
Whether you are a teacher trainer, a mentor or a researcher, the conference’s wide range of workshops will give you the chance to share ideas and discuss the latest developments.
This year’s theme is ‘making the most of partnerships between schools and HEIs’. Speakers include CILT’s Ann Swarbrick, Tanya Riordan of Portsmouth University, Ann Gregory of York St Johnson University, and John Trafford of Huddersfield University.
Further highlights include an update on the Diploma in Languages and International Communication from Terry Lamb of the University of Sheffield, and a review of languages in the primary curriculum from CILT’s Therese Comfort. A series of ‘In conversation with’ sessions will give delegates the chance to take part in question and answer sessions with researchers in their field.
