Nominate now for the Threlford Memorial Cup
The Institute of Linguists is inviting nominations for this year’s Threlford Memorial Cup.
Originally presented by the founder of the Institute of Linguists, Sir Lacon Threlford, and described as "an object of outstanding natural beauty", the Threlford Memorial Cup is presented to a person or institution that has tirelessly strived to foster the study of languages.
A wide range of winners, representing a diverse and innovative spectrum of language learning, have been presented with the Cup. The Threlford Memorial Committee is now inviting nominations for the 2009 winner. The award will be presented at a prize-giving ceremony in November by HRH Prince Michael of Kent.
The deadline for entries is 1 September. If you know of a person or organisation that deserves to be recognised for their work within language study, download an application form from the Insitute of Linguists website.
